Any person, firm or organization conducting business in Greenville is required to purchase a license. This includes:
- Engaging in business of any nature
- Making deliveries of any merchandise
- Offering merchandise for sale
- Performing services
- Soliciting orders for goods or services
The city ordinance requires that the license must be obtained before transacting any business. For more information, contact the Revenue Department.

You can either pick up a copy of the report in person at the Greenville Police Department during regular business hours or by sending in a written request, enclosing a self-addressed stamped envelope as well as a $25.00 money order to The Greenville Police Department, P.O. After filing a police report and speaking with the officer, you will need to go to the Butler County Clerk's Office to sign a warrant. The Clerk's office is located at the Butler County Courthouse, 700 Court Square.

The Greenville Fire Department receives many requests for a Fire Department patch. Since these are purchased with city funds, we can not give these away and the department does not sell them. You may view and/or download a picture of the Greenville Fire Department patch (JPG).

You can obtain a copy of a fire report by coming by or calling Fire Station 1 or Fire Station 2.

You may come by or call Fire Station 1 or Fire Station 2 to obtain a copy of an ambulance report. The Greenville Fire Department is committed to protecting the privacy of protected health information under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) act of 1996. You will be required to fill out all applicable paperwork to obtain a copy of your ambulance report.

The Greenville Parks and Recreation Department (GPRD) is a division of the City of Greenville. We provide recreational opportunities for youth ranging from baseball and softball to basketball.

Yes, we are. In spring and summer youth sports we participate in Dixie Baseball and Softball. In other sports, such as basketball and track and field, we take part in Alabama Recreation and Parks Association sponsored programs.

Children ages 4 and up can take part in some of our programs. However, eligibility does hinge on birthday guidelines established by such organizations as Dixie and ARPA. Check with our office to make certain your child is eligible for the league he or she wants to participate in.

- Basketball leagues play their games at Dunbar Community Center on School Highlands Road.
- Dixie Boys play at Beeland Complex on East Commerce Street.
- Dixie Minors (AAA) at Greenville Sportsplex on Pineapple Hwy.
- Youth softball games are played at the Greenville Sportsplex on Pineapple Hwy.
- T-ball baseball teams play at Dunbar Park (Dunbar Street).
- Mite and Ozone Leagues play at Beeland Complex on East Commerce Street.

On your initial visit, we will ask for a birth certificate that will remain on file as long as your child participates in Greenville Parks and Recreation Department (GPRD) programs. Each year you will need to update insurance information and provide us with shirt sizes for your child.

Each child must have insurance coverage before he or she can participate. If you don't have your own policy, we can provide (for a small fee) a policy through one of our affiliate organizations.

The registration fee is $50.
