Guidelines

Review the following guidelines about roll-out containers:

• Cleaning of the container is the responsibility of the user.
• Containers must be curbside no later than 7 a.m. on the day of service and removed from curbside no later than 7 p.m. of the same day.
• Do not place any of the following items in the container:
  • Any extremely heavy items
  • Dirt
  • Hot materials
  • Inflammable liquids
  • Non-containerized liquids
  • Paints
  • Rocks
  • Sand
  • Sod
  • Solvents
• Please notify the Sanitation Department when moving at 334-382-8271.
• Read the directions embossed on top of the container.
• Removal from assigned residence can only be done by Sanitation Department Personnel.
• Report missing or damaged containers to the Department at 334-382-8271 Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• The roll-out container is the property of the City of Greenville.

Dead Animals

The Department also removes and disposes of dead animals from the road and right-of-way. Pickup of dead animals in the road may be called into the Department at 334-382-8271.
